Web developer

As a web developer at Kinekt, you’ll independently build websites for our clients. Using our WordPress stack, you’ll transform designs from our UX team into optimized websites that feature clean code, excellent accessibility, and are responsive across all devices. Given our small team, you’ll also handle maintenance tasks at the server and application levels.

What You’ll Do

• Independently develop websites in WordPress using Bricks builder alongside custom snippets, templates, and themes.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers and editors.
• Set up and enhance scalable SaaS solutions based on WordPress, such as our webinar platform and Learning Management System.
• Think about scalability and maintainability of websites and systems.
• Streamline the development process and establish best practices.
• Document design methodologies for streamlined project initiation, development, go-live, and project documentation.
• Develop and manage project budgets with the creative director.
• Plan and manage your own project timelines.
• Experiment with applications based on Headless CMS systems.

Who You Are

• You have a degree in IT and/or engineering.
• You have at least three years of experience as a web developer.
• You thrive in a collaborative environment and prefer being at the office over working from home.
• You live within a reasonable distance of Baarn or are willing to relocate.
• You’re always eager to learn and grow.
• You have extensive experience with WordPress CMS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• You have basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• You write clean, structured code that’s easy for your colleagues to read.
• You have experience with Figma and can translate designs into live websites.

• Preferred: Experience with Bricks builder and Advanced Custom Fields.
• Preferred: Experience with advanced CSS techniques like BEM naming conventions and Sass.
• Preferred: Experience with hosting/application management, domain management (DNS), and Git.
• Preferred: Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte, etc.).
